In the new file, go to the Edit menu and choose Select All. From the File menu in Word, select the Save As command. Another way to remove the codes is to use Word's command:- 1. A new document is created which is an exact copy of the original but without the codes. You will be prompted to confirm the action, do so. Find the tool, it may be called 'Remove Field Codes' or 'Convert to Plain Text', depending on version, click it. Place your cursor in some plain text in the document and Save the document, so you have a copy with the codes in. The best way to do this is to use the tool provided in Word in the EndNote Toolbar / Ribbon. Please note that once you remove all hidden codes, you can no longer reformat or unformat the citations or bibliography so always make a copy of your document prior to removing any codes.
